Can I change the speed of the hero slider?

Yep! You sure can. There is an option built right in.

By default, the hero slider is set to rotate to the next slide every 4 seconds. If you have a decent amount of content in the slide, this may be a little fast.

Important note: If a visitor's cursor is within the hero slider area the slide will not rotate to the next slide. This is intentional. Typically, if a person's cursor is stationary or only on a certain part of the page, they are reading your content. Obviously, if they are reading we don't want to swipe the rug from underneath them.

To adjust the speed, all you need to do is open the /// Slider Settings and look for the dropdown.
